Mansfield Art Center 72nd Annual May Show Opening-Honorable Mention
Last week’s opening reception at the Mansfield Art Center’s 72nd Annual May Show was a big success. The two-story exhibition space was so crowded it was hard to walk around. We were lucky to find the last space in the parking lot! Juror Tom Hale did a wonderful job curating 176 pieces, in all media, from 96 Ohio artists. I was honored to have 4 pieces from my Lilith’s Path series chosen for Honorable Mention. (a complete list of May Show winners is at the end of this post.)
That's me (below)...receiving my honorable mention...
This was the first time I had visited the MAC and I was immediately drawn to the modern two-story architecture and wooded setting surrounding the center. You can find out more about Cleveland architect, Don Hisaka’s award-winning design here.
The MAC is truly a work of art and it’s privilege to be showing work there. Also be sure to check out the extensive list of MAC classes and workshops available to art makers of all ages.
If you are in the Mansfield, Ohio area be sure to stop by and see this beautiful show at the gorgeous Mansfield Art Center. The exhibition runs through June 4.
