You Are Invited-The Wax Collective Group Show
I’m so pleased to invite you to the inaugural exhibition of The Wax Collective at the William and Florence Schmidt Art Center at Southwestern Illinois College! The members of The Wax Collective include myself, Sheri Goldsmith, Mary Beth Shaw, Julie Snidle and Mark Witzling.
We are a group of St. Louis-based artists who share a passion for creating contemporary art with beeswax as a common denominator. Whether using encaustic (molten) wax or cold wax techniques each of us utilizes the unique qualities of wax as a key element to create paintings which capture the imagination. Over the past several years we met periodically to collaborate and support each other’s creative efforts and we are thrilled to be exhibiting together for the first time. I’m over the moon to be sharing wall space with such immensely talented artists.
